Subject: RE: Tennis elbow

I struggle with it in both arms and have for years. I’m only 42. Not looking forward to what I’ll feel like at 60.i have done cortisone injections. The next day after them is hell but they seem to take the inflammation down enough to let heal. Braces help but are a pain to remember and work with. There is an otc ointment called voltaren. I have started using it some on the advice of my aunt who is an athletic trainer at a college( close enough to a dr for me!) it is like topical ibuprofen. It helps lessen pain but there again I hate to use too much just in case it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
My pain is mainly the tendon that is in the top of my forearm that runs to your wrist, an also just behind the elbow in my upper arm.
I think I’ve had 2 cortisone’s in each arm and don’t really want to do them again as I figure they’re probably not healthy long term.
Lots of ice in the evening as well.
Good luck. It sucks. A month long vacation may help it heal too!
