Are you using below ground traits? If so its either pretty easy to switch or you are going to need some investment with boxes or with a liquid system.
If you don't need rootworm traits, fungicide and insecticide treatment on the seed is all you need.
I assume your area is like ours and corn borer is non existent because of all the traited corn used in the past. A person would have to scout for cutworm and earworm could be a problem, but a lot of traited corn doesn't work on these pests either.
My conventional hybrid was the best corn I had last year, but it was the best when I bought it in the traited version the year before. |
