Wow. Great story. I remember my dad telling me how our grandpa would feed horses to the pigs in the 30’s and 40’s. It was hard for me to comprehend as a kid.
I also used to graze sows on stalks bout 30 years ago. I was the last person in the neighborhood to do that. Exact same story as yours. Dad said they could smell the corn under the snow. Happy happy sows!
