Subject: RE: Tennis elbow

King City, Mo
I've been dealing with both arms with tennis elbow and carpal tunnel and now have cubical tunnel....

1st dr said just do grastin Pt. did that for a few months at $100+ per secession once a week. Sorta helped.
Wear wrist braces as it's the movement of the wrist that pulls on the tendon onthe bottom outside of your elbow. The braces don't last a week if you farm with them on so have spares on hand. I wore them damn near 24/7 to try and let the tendon heal.

2nd dr - should have avoided this quack. Did cortisol injections that didn't do a damn thing but waste money ins didn't cover. I went back as i wanted to get better.... he did MRI, then did this deal where he pulled a bunch of vials of blood outta my arm, spun them and injected the platelets into the elbow. OMG that was painful and the dr didn't call pain meds in awhile we were still in st joe. He went to lunch and saw other patients b4 calling my meds in and we live 45miles away. Also didn't tell me that i would have even less strength in my arms after doing that for a few weeks. We had popcorn pallets going out and my oldest son (14) learned to sew the 50# bags so we could still ship orders out. The lying pos didn't tell us all the detail before hand and the patient advocate for mosaic was a wasted phone call. Dr Gerken for mosaic is somebody you want to avoid!

Dr 1 did carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists at the same time right before xmas. Couldn't do much for a week but our slowest time and all boys and wife home for xmas break from school. I had to have help getting dressed for a several days. Full strength takes awhile to come back.

While laid up from the surgery my tennis elbow had time to finally heal up.

Dr 1 said the surgery for tennis elbow is a crap shoot as some it helps, some stay the same and some are worse after surgery. Atleast he is honest about the results and not just promoting stuff to stay busy and line his pockets and the hospitals.

The nerve test only showed carpal tunnel witch is the pointer and middle finger going numb.....well the pinkie and ring finger goes dumb too and that is cubical tunnel which is a nerve near the elbow.....so were gonna plan for surgery in late December again as I dont wanna be laid up when we have spraying, sweet corn, festivals ect this summer as my boys don't run the sprayer or the popper.
