Fontanelle, IA | If you want to buy or transfer any firearm through a licensed FFL holder, I had to go to the sheriffs office and apply to get the permit to purchase permit. I had to have my real ID which meant I had to have had my birth certificate to get my real ID which was supposed to be necessary to get on an airplane and I think other federal buildings. 10-14 days later, I think was the time it took to get permit in the mail. I had to show my drivers license and the permit (FFL took photocopy) to purchase my rifle.
I’d be shocked if any firearm purchased thru a licensed FFL dealer didn’t end up in a database somewhere? | |
