Thumb of Michigan
Maybe, I can remember tossing hogs ear corn, but they didn't eat the cobs. We shelled corn via hand sheller and ground in a stationary hammer mill to finish the pigs. Also back then corn tested higher in CP than today. So, with dilution (via cobs) you would not just be lowering CP but energy in your ration. Maybe you could add some soybean meal to get the CP up, some DDG/corn oil for energy (calories).

An old boar needs 10% CP, a milking sow 16% CP, growing pig IDR, maybe 14% CP. Today's shelling corn is coming in at less than 8% CP here. Adding cobs would lower that even more.

Wiser folks than me here however.
