One of my buddies wives hasn't got her Real ID, yet. She had to take a bus to Atlanta rather than a plane, Lol.

Why?

Well, for Starters, she has to drive 2 hours to get a copy of their marriage license and, I think, a copy of her actual Birth Certificate. She's never had to have these before. For anything.

So she's NEVER had to show proof of who she is?    I don't know how easily they hand out legal documents/ID's in Missouri but I'll explain how it works in Iowa.

In Iowa, to get a drivers license with your new last name
(after getting married) you have to show a certified copy of your marriage certificate.

To get married you have to have a marriage license.    Guess what, you have to present a valid photo ID to get a marriage license.    Which can be your drivers license.   But guess what, to get your first drivers license you have to prove who you are, requires a birth certificate or passport (which also requires a birth certificate and marriage certificate if you're married).

This whole thing is not nearly as complicated as the liberal left wants everyone to believe it is.

Every woman that is legally married, has everything they need or at least has the ability to get everything they need to prove their married last name.

Taking the bus to travel instead of getting the necessary paper work in order is pure stupidity.   But I wouldn't expect anything less from someone that wants to make it into a much bigger issue than it is.
