I agree that the main advantage is that you can move it with a pump, and it is much easier to meter out and distribute on an applicator or planter.
The plant nutrient value should be the same as dry fertilizer.

I also think it is much safer to use it in contact with the seed because the fertilizer has a high water content and is quickly absorbed and carried away from the seed by the soil.


This right here ^^^
Better metering and I can do a better of placement with liquid. My planter is over 10 years old, and only one small spot of rust from the fert.
