Subject: RE: Chemical purchasing

Not exactly up on your description of practices in your area but I think I get the point finally. I use an independent consultant first and foremost. I trust his recommendations because he is experienced, proven and works for me not a company trying to move their product. From there I take over it’s my money my future at stake. I have more than a dozen all together local options, regional wholesalers and national co-ops that I’ll price/purchase what I need. Would that work for everyone I don’t know all I do know is it works for me, my top priority. I still maintain a good relation with my locals but they all understand I will buy from where it benefits me the most. The next generation better understand or they will not be in this business of farming long. I see my biggest savings on chemicals I know I will be using like pre-emerges, fungicides and a few post products that I know will be used in the future and that gives me time to shop around and take delivery in time. I usually know who will offer the best it’s usually one of three options, the only given I’ve discovered is that Nutrien is never the best option !
