Central Iowa
Have bagged a ton of corn. 20 full 350 foot bags and 2 partials this last fall so over 325k bushels. As mentioned below, when it works it works well. When it doesn't, it really doesn't. This winter has not been conducive to hauling as we had a warm January and the ground wasn't froze. February was better but not ideal either. Have a 5 left to get but will have to wait until it dries. Bag cost just over $.06/bushel this last year. Equipment is 2x what is was 6 years ago.

Our local ethanol plant has for years allowed us to average moisture on all delivered loads so we could bounce from bags to bin and reduce our drying fees. They eliminated that late last summer so will be putting some bins up.

Biggest savings is logistics in the fall in my opinion. 2 guys ( 1 in combine and 1 in cart) can pump some bushels out. $.40 -.50 basis/carry improvement from fall to JFM and its real money to the bottom line.
