| A few benefits that made us get into for this coming year. 1st is the placement running it on the planter means we have a very consistent placement from the seed unlike dry spread on top. We are majority no till and strip till has not been tried due to terraces. Going to place phosphorus product through our furrowjet and then 32% and ATS with our conceal. So we know for sure how far each of those products are from the seed at all times. 2-Many liquids are in the form that is available to the plant. We are placing our fertilizer as close to the growing season as we possibly can so we can possibly reduce the chance of it being loss or tied up to outside events. 3- We can control it ourselves as well as increased options from fungicide or insecticide. Having a liquid system on a planter opens up possibilities. I have wanted to try Xyway for a while now haven't had the ability till now. Some new corn rootworms insecticides have come out and now that's an option. I would rather be in the place of saying I don't need those in this environment vs I wish I would have had the ability to us them. Liquid on the planter can be as complicated or easy as the farmer would like it to be. | |
