I don’t know why the OP bull is an outlier but his epd is below both his dam and sire (ie not the average). And, following pedigree of granddams and grandsires, there is no smoking gun.
Maybe he was actually scored for docility.
Op said he wasn’t going to save daughters. As long as OP sticks with his absolute, I’d say he’s on the right track
