Mid Mo
Thanks for the discussion.

A little more information. I actually got this bull last June and just had calves hit the ground in the last couple days. Two heifers have calved with no issue but the calves are plenty leggy which seems to have carried over.

The bull I had before broke his tool just before turnout and I was kind of in a jam. Had saved a few heifers and needed something with calving ease and was able to pick this one up. SydGen is about 30 miles from me right in the heart of fescue country like me and I got him at auction.

As for as docile - He was wound a little tight when I got him home. He settled down but still kept a close eye on him. Once turned out, he's never been an issue.

Do I turn my back on him? NO
Do I turn my back on any bull? NO

He never took off running as soon as I pulled into the pasture. He would stay behind a single hot wire and move with the herd when rotating to fresh grass. I've had him in the lot several times and had to sort for working cattle, weaning calves, etc. Over all - he's been a regular bull to keep an eye on.

With that said, I do not plan to keep any heifers out of him. He is a terminal bull for me only.
