Keep in mind this slow-releasing product was not available in previous trials before 2021. The chloride mixture of berberine is absorbed quickly, which causes a high plasma level, and quicker excretion of it in the toilet.
As stated in this study, "The pharmacokinetic profile of the oral administration to healthy volunteers confirmed that berberine Phytosome® significantly ameliorated berberine absorption, in comparison to unformulated berberine, without any observed side effects."
So, based upon my current findings, this would be a better product when compared to a chloride based berberine.
