Subject: You are correct for metabolicly healthy people

Pittsburg, Kansas
I believe you are absolutely correct.

For people who are metabolically healthy, they transition in and out of ketosis. Should be daily. Break-fast. Should be in ketosis upon waking.

Insulin is the key. If insulin is low people will be in ketosis. If it is high they will not.

Several ways to get insulin low. Fasting is the quickest. Calorie restriction works if you get them low enough. But it has to be a pretty severe restriction for anyone who is insulin resistant. Not as bad for metabolic healthy people. And there is also the fasting mimicking diet. Otherwise known as a low carb ketogenic diet. The diet that mimics fasting by removing foods that causes insulin to rinse.

It is not rocket science. Insulin is a fat storage hormone (among many other functions in the body). Keep it low to burn fat. Burning fat creates ketones.

We have been told to fear fat for fourty or fifty years now. It was a mistake. Insulin levels are the key. It should rise and fall according to bodily needs. When it is constantly elevated all the time is when insulin resistance is created eventually leading to diabetes. Then it takes more effort to control insulin levels. That is where I am at and why I need a low carb ketogenic diet to control my diabetes. Not everyone needs that. A lot of people do that don't realize the damage they are doing with constantly high insulin levels.

Insulin is also a growth hormone. Want your cancer tumor to grow excessively? Just keep insulin levels over the top by eating lots of foods that raise insulin. Cancer tumors love glucose. They love high insulin levels. Don't do as well on ketones with insulin low.
