Subject: RE: Moldboard plowing

Farmington IL
Moldboard plowing has its place. I have seen good results. It appears in my unscientific observations, a moldboard plow pass once every few years is a worth while endeavor. I have read many times that plowing will kill the ground for one reason or another but our home farms have seen the moldboard plow since my family moved here in the 1880’s. Yields keep climbing. OM, fertility, soil structure all are just fine and it hasn’t all eroded away yet.
