So is it necessary for everyone to be in ketosis 24/7?
I first learned about the concept listening to a trucker show on satellite radio. The one host was huge proponent of keto. I have never adopted a strict keto lifestyle but I been practicing intermittent fasting for several years now. I try to consume all my calories in eight hours or less per day. So far I have lost probably close to forty pounds without really trying. I eat whatever my wife puts in front of me. I start my day with black coffee and then drink plenty of water as required. I can easily go 24 hours without eating and not feel overly hungry and without losing energy. In fact the less I eat the more energy I seem to have. I assume that this means I can bounce in and out of ketosis as required. I think this was how the human body was designed.
I understand that people trying to reverse the affects of diabetes can’t eat this way but for others it’s possible and would make it easier for the food supply to adjust.
