You'll pay more for shipping than the price of lower wattage panels, while new ones are $.10-20/watt in bulk, and similar in used/surplus. A used/surplus commercial panel will last longer than any new 10w panel I've seen. For example, a 200-400w panel would typically be $50-100 used/surplus, free if you're in the right place and they're scratched. You can get a perfectly capable controller for $3 on ebay, and you probably have some spare wire around. A used truck battery will work fine, or go Li if you're buying new, unless you need it to charge below freezing? | |
