Subject: RE: Moldboard plowing

Fall of '24 I had 4 fields side by side, one was chiseled, one was 10 year no till, one inline ripped 19 inches deep, and the last moldboarded. All were previously beans, planted the same time, and had same herbicide and fertilizer programs and the the same variety.

Moldboard was the highest of them all. It's a good thing to do every once in a while. But it takes a lot of time and diesel fuel. Plowed 12 acres of red clover this fall of pastured heifers on all summer after chopping tritcale. Gonna follow it with silage corn this spring
