I think I understand where GS2 is coming from. Scroll down this very page and you'll see that 1/3 of every post is "where's my handout money". I seriously know of NO struggling farmers. How many dollars of equipment and land on average does everyone one here own? The "poor me" story gets old. If farming is actually that bad then get out and go get a time clock job

Yep.
Market talk has about 4 modes anymore: "where's my welfare check", "we need a drought", "we need to increase ethanol usage but have no idea how other than a government mandate", and the now rare "the chart/market says (prediction)".
There's pages of every other post is "where is my check" or "how do I get my check". Can't scroll down to see the exact same question, gotta ask it again. Then it even shows up elsewhere here as well. Either everyone is going broke or has already spent it on something they probably shouldn't have. Money burning a hole in everyone's pockets before it even got directed towards a pocket.
I wonder why the public thinks poorly of farm subsidies anymore. |
