Well I'm positive that more of it is used to buy machinery, fertilizer, and seed. So there is that.
And I'm not an advocate for farm subsidies..........so whatever. I still say that as far as the Corporations go........I bet they spend a lot more time lobbying for the huge SNAP portion of USDA funding than they do our relatively somewhat measly part.
When I started, most farm expansion was done on savings.
Now it mostly runs on perpetual debt financing. |
