| I had several Luco mfg. portable 'confinement' hog floors 40 yrs ago. I'd highly recommend going full 2 inch thick. as wear around the feeders had most of them pretty thin in just a few years. They were oak 2x6's Nothing like heading out the drive towards church and see a bunch of hogs that excaped from a busted board.. All it took was one broke board, and they rooted the rest out and away they went! if you plan on taking them to 300 lbs, 10-12 square foot/hog is kind of the recommended space these days. Back in my day, 220-240#'s was typical, and I was giving them about 8 sq. ft. maybe a little more during summer heat.
may want to rethink the shape of your floor, it's a little too 'square'.. a longer, rectangular pen tends to help with dung patterns separate from sleeping areas. There was a little block of wood nailed on each 'slat' 1 inch thick that spaced the boards sitting in a channel. there were jack screws on each end to tension the boards together.
