I know what you mean. My toenails are thick I am 63. We have a shower you can sit in. I like to let them soak 10 minutes or so then trim in the shower with big toenail clippers.
People might think this is funny but it is a real deal. My Dad went to a foot doctor to have his trimmed when he was in his 80's
