NC MO | We have a finisher site, and I have been thinking a lot lately about how our per pig space pay is the same today as it was 15-20 years ago ($40.00). All our costs have gone up. The Bureau of Labor Statistics website showed that just considering the inflation adjustment we should be over $60 per pig space.
What does everyone think?
What kind of rate are you getting?
Are there reasons I am not considering that explain why contract grower pay has not followed the price of everything else? Or maybe everyone else is getting around $60. | |
