| The two outer lights on the hood of my John Deere 8300T quit working this fall. I had no power in the plug regardless of rotary switch position or hi/low beam position. After checking the fuses (f41 and f42) and switching the relay k1 for a relay I knew to be good, I still had no power. I also checked the hi/low switch in the steering colum as I know that is sometimes an issue; it was in working order. I started tracing wires and found a bad pin (A7) on the connector at the back of the cab. Pin A7 is connected to pin 87 on relay k1 on the cab side and wire no.119on the harness side. Wire 119 goes from the connector at the back of the cab, under the cab to the left side of the hood, up by the alternator and to the front lights along the pipes on top of the engine. I have read the diode d2 can also cause the lights to not work. Hopefully this helps someone else who has this issue.
