In the past year my psa test was climbing - 3.2 to 3.8 to over 6 in Nov. Had biopsy and mri. Biopsy didn't find any cancer and mri found a small spot but not enough to say it could be cancer.
Appreciate any thoughts and advice.
Thanks

My experience...I believe I have best urologist around..PSA went from 5 to 9.5 to 13+ ..had biopsy and have cancer of 6 on the gleason scale which is low and Medical experts say monitor it and generally no advantage in operating if you are 70+ as its slow growing and in 10 yr. study no difference between those having prostrate removed and those not.

Dr. did excellent job of explaining PSA is like a commodity chart, will be up & down, mine has been 7-13+ ,tested every 4 months. I am getting a MRI on Sunday just to see if its any other place.

Did you know if you are sexually active before your test it affects your PSA?

Like soil test keep getting some PSA blood work and chart it . "Here" if Dr. orders it its free ,otherwise its $43 cdn. Everything else is free under our Health System
