NE Indiana | I'm not from Mn but don't forget to add in the market manipulation that takes place with government reports. The run up in grain prices while the government was shut down is a perfect example of that. Until the government stops interfering with our markets, I'll gladly take the subsidy's. The fact the OP compares our subsidies with a paid time off subsidy is astonishing. Most of us bust our ass every day for very little reward. I bet the government doesn't put out a report after those paid leave recipients get their check that lowers their pay when the go back to work the same amount of the leave payment. That's exactly what happened to us after the bridge payment was announced. Report comes out and markets dropped about equal to the bridge payment.
