North central MO | Jim’s plan is a good way to go broke. Trying to turn a year around calving herd into a 50 day calving window in 1 year will be an absolute train wreck. Your cow turn over will be to high. If you’re going to follow Jim’s plan u never should have bought the cows to begin with.
Guess is does matter if we are talking about 10 or 100 cows. Jim’s plan is for a pet herd of 10 cows. If you’re talking 100s of cows it takes years to get to a 50 day calving window.
And second thing don’t sell the bull calves, CUT them and kick back out with cows.
