No problem me trimming mine but I got a real good heavy duty trimmer, I have a buggered toe nail on right big toe. Tractor 3 pt arm smashed on it in the shop on concrete floor. Toe nail double thick and half not attached to nail bed so needs to be trimmed short so it doesn't get sore. Mom was diabetic and her foot doctor recommended she do it for her, so they didn't become infected....James
