Southeast Colorado | Perhaps then we didn't have the knowledge of just how much electricity was required as we had become more energy dependent. But what did we do with that knowledge?.........we decided to invest in unreliable energy generation.
Bottom line for me?.........I guess I don't really care if the public wants to be stupid on this issue. I've got cattle that depend on me for water and food. I've got my own backup systems in place. All the way from snow plowing tractors, to generators, to well pulling rigs if the professionals can't get to me timely. If the public truly doesn't want to take the necessary steps to insure reliability for themselves, than so be it.
Last EDIT: I shouldn't come off completely negative. 99+% of the time the grid and power company treats us perfectly. But when there is a problem............I sure don't care for the deflection of blame.
