| If you look at the entire usda budget per capita, farmers are getting $16600 per person while snap recipients receive average of $2400 per person
As far as where the money goes? SNAP recipients have to spend the money on food so it goes directly into the economy. Whereas as farmers are not subject to spending the money in ways to support the economy. I am positive some farm subsidies are used to buy gold, silver, or bitcoin. None of which are huge factors for economic growth. | |
