 Pittsburg, Kansas | Cutting out diet soda was the final thing I had to kick before the sweet cravings went away. It may not be that way for everyone, but that was my final hurdle. Even though it had no sugar in it, the taste kept reminding me of how sweet the treats could be.
To this day though, I am careful about not consuming very much sweet tasting food. For fear the cravings will come back. I will do a tiny bit, like a half dozen blueberries or in season a pear off our tree. But I'm careful. Don't want to go back to multiple insulin shots a day and the health complications there of. And that is where the sweet cravings would lead for me personally. I'm an addict.
Sharing my story helps to keep me on the straight and narrow. Where I need to stay.
