Ed, the range is supposed to unlimited, as no towers, they run off satellites. I thought in listening to my son tell me a 3 or 4 year life of tag. I thought he told me around 30 bucks a tag, but then you use a software program to track them. Can use your regular Alflex tagger to install these.

My thoughts are to buy them and install one tag in bulls at ranch while still feeding them in mangers to see if retention is OK. Then install them on turn out day on the rest of the bulls. They had a new generation tag called Gen6 if I remember correctly, it can tell you when bull is mounting or show a pattern I guess. Can tell you when cow is in estrus or calving.

Our thoughts are to track if bull is in my herd, if still breeding or alive and location in fall or even when moving pastures so you dont lose them.
