SW WI | Agree..my wife and I were just talking about this recently. Seemed in the 80's the classmates who lived in town, were somewhat struggling the same as farm families. They were worried about losing jobs, lay offs, not having a good paying job if they didn't "know" someone to get them in.
Now it seems non farm households have a lot of disposable income for toys. Not that way in the 80's.
