Sac & Story county IA
I have used water absorbing hydraulic filters with good success. I bought a 560 that the oil was darn near cottage cheese. I changed the oil with not much improvement. I put a filter in the return line from power steering. That made the oil bright. It may take several filters before water is all gone. I have used them in other applications as well.

Those tractors had an area where the lid of transmission meets the case where the cast is not thick. Unless you take the platform off and top of transmission and new gasket, it will probably keep getting water in oil.

Here is a reply I wrote several years ago about large amount of water in a tractor. Closing in on 20 years ago now. I still have tractor, no problems.
