Subject: Soybean research

Mid-Michigan
If you would like to read some really good soybean research, I invite you to look up the "Michigan Soybean on-farm research report" 2025. This research is done by Michigan State University. I know there are some guys who don't believe anything that a University does. Not sure why. Maybe fake news? For those of you in this camp, don't bother then. For those of you who want to know what worked and what didn't, its pretty good reading. What i really liked was it shows the economic impact of the trial in question. Some stuff worked but you lost money. It's randomized, replicated, variables were minimized and accurate measurements taken.
Trials included, Tillage, Preplant sulphur, Planting rate, planting dates x Maturity groups, in-furrow starter fertilizer, In-furrow Radiate and Accomplis Max, Soybean seed inoculation, Residual herbicide, Microstrike bean foliar fertilizer, Cobra herbicide for white mold, Delaro Complete foliar fungicide and Planter box treatment. The trial was paid for by check-off dollars. Very good winter reading. Especially good for snake oil suckers and things you might be doing that you think are working for you (like me).
