Subject: Lost Calf Early

SW Iowa
We had a new heifer calve a week early with twins; one might have made it, but we didn't get to them soon enough. Leaning towards finding a bottle calf to put on her, but probably won't find one until Monday. My question is whether I need to be milking her to keep her producing, or what is your protocol until you can find a calf? No dairies in this area to call up either.

Edit-thanks, we were able to come up with a calf from a reputable neighbor before the end of day
