| HuskerJ - 2/20/2026 21:40 China has used the USA as the supplier of last resort as far back as I can remember. Tariffs, no tariffs, trade agreements, no trade agreements. China only came to the USA for beans when: 1) It was most economical 2) Other suppliers were unable to supply all they wanted
The exact same applies to EVERYTHING that China has ever bought from us.
And when they need something that we have and they don't like the price, they are very willing and capable of manipulating the markets to their advantage. They will sabotage the market to buy what they need cheaper.
