I do not go to bed with my cell phone plugged into the charger. For the risk mentioned about fire. When I walk in the house at night, if my cell phone needs charging, I plug it in. If I wait up in the morning, and my cell phone needs charging, I will plug it in while I prepare and eat breakfast. I do not let it plugged in overnight. And I do not let the charger cord plugged into the wall outlet without the phone attached. Take a look at times where you could be charging...... you could plug it in before you eat any meals at home.... you could plug it in before you take a shower..... if you spend a fair amount of time in the farm shop, you could get an additional charger and charge your phone while you are working in the shop. My understanding - and I could be wrong - is that cell phones these days do a quick charge up to about 80 -90%, and then slow the charge rate down to get to 100%. So, if you have time to plug in 30 minutes at a time, that might be enough time to get the phone mostly charged without getting to 100% - and that might be enough to see you thru the day. I've done that already - charge enough just so the phone doesn't die on me. |
