I was told one time that all it took was checking the right box when a dealer was ordering a vehicle that added $100 to the cost to get a flex fuel vehicle. Why didn’t the corn board offer to pay the dealer the $100 to check that box? Could have deducted $100 off the list price of the vehicle so it would not have added to the cost to the buyer. Everyone would have been whole and we could have had a lot more flex fuel vehicles on the road.
When I fill with e85 I think about how much more ethanol I’m using per fill compared to e10 or e15. One fill of e85 is like 8 fills with e10.
Except that E85 is rarely 85% ethanol, especially this time of year.
Closer to E70 a lot of times.
Still better than nothing but the whole ethanol labeling/marketing situation is a disaster in my opinion. |
