I've NEVER been a proponent of exporting raw commodities, but soy oil and soy meal are still for all purposes raw commodities that are traded on the CME. They still get shipped in bulk by truck, rail or ship. Neither are something that gets packaged and sent somewhere for retail without more refining/processing.
What I'm saying is that building more soybean plants does NOT solve the problem of having excess supply of overpriced (vs the world) soybeans, its only 1 piece of the puzzle. So where do you think there is currently unfilled demand for soy oil or soymeal that can be sold at or above current prices?
