McLean county IL | So our family farm was rented to our operator in 2025 on a variable cash rent lease. As landlords, we share in the price and yield risk, and receive an agreed percentage then in cash rent. Lease wasn't renewed in 2026. This was because one family member died last fall. Family has decided to sell the farm. Buyer will be a local farmer and closing on April 1.
Who gets their bridge payment if there is one?
