SW WI | Targeted tariffs are not new. Been around long time Obama, Clinton etc etc. Reagan championed free trade, but still used targeted tariffs.
Tariffs have been used as leverage or weapon before Trump nothing new here.
Trump just takes it to a new level not seen since the Smoot Hawley act.
Problem with trump I see is lack of thought into his tariffs. He changes his mind. His ego gets in the way.
We will see the outcome over the next year to 2.
Large job loss in transportation sector, lack hiring, consumer confidence slowly going down, but the economy is raging 4.2 GDP.
