North West IA/western AZ | A few weeks ago my Tesla app told me that my 4 year old Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries were being recalled and would be replaced at no cost to me. Today the technicians showed up with a pair of Powerwall 3 batteries as replacements. They were somewhat different size but it looked like they would fit. The PW2's were stacked side by side against the wall. The PW3's would each need to be fastened to the wall in tandem. The guys worked all morning to get them physically placed. That turned out to be the easy part. They spent a couple hours trying to get everything working but only 1 battery was recognized. They called Tesla for help and spent another hour on hold waiting. They decided to come back another day to work on it. I'll add a few pictures if I can. The older PW2 says Tesla on the side. The new ones just have the trademark on the side.
