Skunks have terrible vision.Probably only 2 or 3 ft at best an only straight ahead vision.
It can't be that bad. I was standing eight feet away from a box trap, contemplating the skunk contained therein, when he caught me right between the eyes. I figured that was as good an excuse as any to skip church that morning.
I wish we had more skunks around here. I have fond memories of them roaming the cow barns when I was a youngster. Cute little buggers, and the occasional smell is not all that bad.
