And before you say it, yes, I know “winter is the best time for a drought.” However, the drier areas aren’t where it rains consistently. I’ll never forget the farmer from Ohio that couldn’t believe his record crops and where it came from a few years ago. Ask how much rain they got, 35”…. lol
All I can say for my corner is that map is not right. We are full full. Low spots froze up full. Snow melted and had water sitting in ditches and low spots. Now got some more snow. I'm sure we will be seeding around alot of potholes that we've seeded thru the last 8 years. It actually feels good to know we have subsoil moisture again. South of me not very far I think they aren't near as wet as we are.
