Eastern NE KS | 30 years ago, I kept a heifer with twins to feed at the barn. I fed Purina Precon to that girl. She backed off her grass hay and exploded precon consumption to 20#/day. It was safe and easily handled in bags from feed store. I wouldn't try sacks today due to cost but it worked nicely back then.
She was turned out with her pair to the cleanup bull and virgin heifers. Every evening she came close to the corrals to get her special meal. The bull joined her so they both got a boost. | |
