The settings show the windows firewall is shut off.
That's like leaving your keys in your car everywhere you go. You are going to have a future security issue. Hopefully AVG has a firewall and it's configured correctly.
My advice again is to remove AVG. Let Windows Defender and Windows Firewall do their thing. Download Brother iPrint&Scan. Initiate the scan by pressing a button at the computer.
To initiate a scan by pressing a button on the scanner and having it pop open something on your PC is going to require multiple computer settings. Those settings require maintenance to continue working (windows updates can/will overwrite them). It is much simpler to just initiate the scan from the computer side. There are no firewall or security issues/settings required that way.
