If the shop is actually used as a repair/maintenance shop, $300 for the meeting hall rental is dang cheap compared to having to move everything that is in various stages of being worked on out of the shop and having to clean the shop.




You are absolutely right.

I was on our local co op board for several years and we did the meeting in our shop a few times. It took two days before the meeting to clean and set up the tables and chairs. that was two days of lost income from the services that the shop could not perform and two days of employee labor that was spent getting ready. Although, the shop cleaning was probably needed anyway. LOL

At that time there was not a good place in town to hold it.

And as a previous poster replied, Some people just have to find something to complain about.
