East of Broken Bow | Dodge pickup, have a 1994 12 valve Cummins 2500 that does the bulk of the towing.
2006 Dodge Durango Flex Fuel that has about 269,000 miles running mostly e-85. Been extremely reliable - just a water pump and the outer tie rod ends, otherwise just maintanence items. Still has the original alternator. Doesn't burn a half quart of oil between changes yet.
2019 Jeep Cherokee, with 190,000 some miles on it. Been very trouble free, as well. Unless something breaks in the next couple thousand miles, it will be the most trouble free vehicle to 200K we ever had. Single biggest repair was an axle half-shaft that had a torn CV boot, and that was likely from damage and not wear/miles as we sometimes have a lot of junk on the roads.
Beyond that, I still run an old 1970 something Birdbath Dodge Power Wagon. Replaced a lot of things like U joints, tie rod ends, and even the steering sector recently, but I think it would be hard to find a 50+ year old truck that still gets driven through pastures in 4WD with a ton of weight in the back that had less issues. | |
